NAC, un vrai délice!

Dear Munch Diaries,

So I booked the popular French restaurant, NAC about a month ago after seeing it pop-up on my Instagram feed often. The occasion was purely a pick me up, feel good date with my good friend Shakara.

After sharing the menu with her and sending over countless tagged pictures on Instagram, it was fair to say that she shared the same level of excitement as me!

We arrived to our booking and were pleased with the super sleek, low-lighting decor.

To start we ordered two of their rum, grapefruit and sumac cocktails (£13 each), A portion of the Halloumi fries served with honey sriracha dip (£7), the Panko coated chicken bites (£12) served with a spicy mayo dip and the curry Tiger prawn tacos (£12). The starters were enjoyable minus the surprising temperature of the tacos which arrived almost chilled. Although the combined flavours of the madras curry and avocado were quite nice.

Perhaps it was the devoted alcoholic in us, but we found the cocktail lacked a punch and later moved onto a strawberry Daiquiri (£10 ordered off menu for Shakara), whilst I tried out a glass of their Whispering Angel rose (£16).

For our mains, I went for the Rigatoni alla vodka pasta (£16), whilst Shakara got the New York strip steak (£25) and frites (£5). Alongside a side of avocado with smoke sea salt (£3) and huge portion of Truffled Mac & Cheese (£12), which we unfortunately ended up leaving as we found the amount of truffle used way too overpowering.

We planned on ordering TWO desserts but our stomachs had already grown full, so we settled on squeezing in the infamous cookie dessert (£10). A warm milk chocolate cookie topped with soft serve ice cream and Frosties cereal. Which was worth all the talk I had read about it prior to booking! I even rushed my picture taking to ensure we got to enjoy it whilst the cookie remained warm.

Overall, the food was yummy but quite underwhelming. I would love to revisit again for brunch to finalise my current opinion but I would recommend visiting for a cosy, relaxed meal out after a spot of shopping.

Vibe - Soft lighting and a great music playlist, Nac gives relaxed cosy dining vibes!
Munch - The flavours weren't what we expected, so I hope to return again to make a better judgement.
Triple R - I would recommend it for a good spot of dinner after a days shopping in Central London.

Making my Total Rating Score - 3.5/5
