Big Easy

Go back in time to a 19th century, award winning American BBQ and Crabshack. Sounding good right? Let me explain why Big Easy needs to be added to your ‘To Eat List’. Not only can enjoy a variety of truly wonderful food but you can also expect first class customer service and if you go on the right night a southern style live band!

I first discovered Big Easy for my best friend’s birthday dinner. We went as a group with her family and we were able to try each other’s dishes. I can hand on heart admit to enjoying everything I tasted including the mussels which were a first for me. I have so far only been to Kings Road branch, but they are also opening one in Covent Garden, February 2014. All in all eating at the Big Easy is worth every penny as they offer many set menu deals each day of the week (during particular times, check site for more info). Brilliant atmosphere, although I’d recommend going as a group of people as can feel like a tight squeeze during the restaurant’s busy times.

The Breakfast Club

Hangover cure on a budget? Look no further.

Hearty and yet again cheap, filling food is all that’s served at The Breakfast Club. From lip-smacking pancakes and quirky sandwiches to award winning pies served with mash, greens and onion gravy for only £10, you can’t go wrong. I even remember going through a once every two weeks, phase with my visits to this eye catching place. With its fridge door (yes a door made out of a real fridge) leading you downstairs to the jazzy style bar, this is definitely a great lunch hangout spot.

The Diner

In the mood for some classic American dining? Well, when I am I know what place comes to mind first. The Diner!

It was one of the first places I tried heavenly 'cheesy chips' and nearly came to tears whilst drinking their scrumptious Coconut milkshake!

The Diner, is not only cheap but it is most definitely cheerful. Everytime I visit I am stuck between whether I want to try something new or stick to my personal fav order of French Toast with Bacon, thanks to their clever 'All Day Breakfast' section of the simply amazing menu.

Going to The Diner is always a good idea!

Cape Town Fish Market

Random food spotting has always been a fav of mine. The spontaneity of stumbling across a place that's new to you, is often the height of my excitement.

The Cape Town Fish Market, located on Argyll Street in West End had always been a place which caught my eye due to the stunning exterior design. CTFM is definitely a great destination for yum food at a lush venue.

I went with my best friend San, and we ordered only starters and main courses as we were unable to manage a dessert. If I remember correctly I had the Tempura Prawns (£6.95) and San had the Crab and Prawn Fishcakes (£6.95) both which we enjoyed and almost fought sharing. For our mains we had the Grilled Sea Bass (£15.95) and the Stacked Cod (£18.95) , which quite frankly blew us away, as well as our delightful cocktails.
